Look at both hands. When the minute hand points to 6, it is half past the hour.

Pause and ask: What time does the clock show?

Listen to a tiny story about Mia planting, watering, and measuring a seed. Say what the whole story is mostly about.

Then ask: What is one detail that proves your idea?

Pause and ask: Which clue helped you?

Compare 438 and 483. Check hundreds first, then tens, then ones.
