Effective date: February 28, 2026 ยท Product: Contract HQ Microsoft Word Add-in ยท Publisher: AIBridges
Contract HQ is a Microsoft Word add-in (built using the Office.js API) that provides three tools for legal professionals working with contracts:
Each module handles data differently. This policy explains each in detail.
| Module | Document Text Transmitted? | Where Processed | Stored? |
|---|---|---|---|
| ClauseBank | No | Local (Word/browser) | No document text stored. Clause library stored server-side per firm. |
| Deadline Radar | No | Local (Word/browser) | No. All processing in-browser via regex. Nothing transmitted. |
| Redline Review | Yes โ selected sections sent to AIBridges API | AIBridges API | Processed and discarded. Not retained after response is returned. |
ClauseBank retrieves clause text from your firm's clause library (stored on AIBridges servers, isolated per firm) and inserts selected clauses into your Word document. Document content is never read by or transmitted to AIBridges in connection with ClauseBank.
What is stored server-side:
This data is logically isolated to your firm โ other firms cannot access or see your clauses.
Deadline Radar uses local JavaScript running inside the Word add-in to read the active document's text, apply pattern matching to find dates and deadline language, and display results in the sidebar. No text is transmitted anywhere.
This module operates entirely offline and makes no network requests.
โ ๏ธ Redline Review transmits portions of your contract document to AIBridges servers for AI analysis. Please read this section carefully and consult your firm's data handling policies before use with privileged or confidential client materials.
When you run Redline Review on a document:
We do not associate transmitted document text with any personal identity or firm identity beyond what is necessary to route the response back to your session.
โน๏ธ Firms with strict data residency or privilege requirements should consult AIBridges before enabling Redline Review. A self-hosted deployment option is available for enterprise customers.
Contract HQ does not collect personal information such as names, email addresses, or billing information through the add-in itself. Firm account information provided during onboarding (firm name, administrator contact email) is stored for account management purposes only and is not shared with third parties.
Contract HQ does not embed analytics, tracking scripts, or advertising technologies. We do not track individual user behavior, feature usage patterns, or document content for any purpose other than delivering the requested service.
All data transmitted between the Word add-in and AIBridges servers is encrypted using TLS 1.2+. Firm clause libraries are stored in isolated server environments. We do not share data across firm accounts.
Redline Review's AI processing may use a third-party AI model provider (such as Google Gemini). Document text passed to this provider for inference is subject to their data processing terms, which prohibit training on customer data. We will disclose the specific sub-processor upon request.
Changes to this policy will be communicated to firm administrators via email and reflected in the updated effective date on this page. Continued use of the add-in after the update date constitutes acceptance.
