Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 20, 2026
PageWatch ("we", "us", "our") operates the PageWatch website monitoring service at aibridges.org/pagewatch (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address
- Password (stored as a one-way bcrypt hash — we never store or can access your plain text password)
1.2 Monitor Configuration
When you create monitors, we store:
- URLs you choose to monitor
- Monitor names, check intervals, alert thresholds, and alert email addresses you provide
1.3 Screenshots and Visual Data
The Service automatically captures screenshots of the URLs you configure for monitoring. These screenshots:
- Are captured by automated headless browsers — no human views them unless you explicitly share them
- Are stored in encrypted cloud storage (AWS S3 with server-side encryption)
- Are only accessible to you via your authenticated account
- Are automatically deleted after your plan's retention period (7 to 365 days depending on plan)
- May contain content from third-party websites that we do not control
1.4 Usage Data
We collect basic usage data including:
- IP addresses (for rate limiting and abuse prevention)
- API request logs (timestamps, endpoints accessed)
- Check results (diff scores, error messages)
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide and operate the Service (capturing screenshots, computing diffs, sending alerts)
- Authenticate your identity and protect your account
- Send you alert emails when monitored pages change
- Send you account-related emails (verification, security notices)
- Prevent abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access
- Maintain and improve the Service
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Third-Party Services
The Service uses the following third-party providers:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — cloud infrastructure (compute, storage, database, email delivery). Data is stored in the US East (N. Virginia) region. AWS Privacy Policy
- Cloudflare Turnstile — CAPTCHA verification to prevent bot abuse. Cloudflare Privacy Policy
4. Data Storage and Security
- All data is stored on AWS infrastructure with encryption at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS)
- Passwords are hashed using bcrypt with a cost factor of 12
- API keys are unique per account and can be regenerated
- Database backups use AWS point-in-time recovery
- Access to infrastructure is restricted via least-privilege IAM policies
While we implement industry-standard security measures, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
5. Data Retention
- Screenshots and diff images: Automatically deleted after your plan's retention period (Free: 7 days, Starter: 30 days, Pro: 90 days, Business: 365 days)
- Account data: Retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time.
- Server logs: Retained for up to 90 days for security and debugging purposes
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data by logging into your account
- Delete your monitors and their associated screenshots at any time
- Export your data by contacting us
- Close your account and request deletion of all associated data
- Opt out of non-essential emails (alert preferences are configurable per monitor)
To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below.
7. Monitored Website Content
Important: The Service captures screenshots of publicly accessible web pages that you choose to monitor. We do not control and are not responsible for the content of those third-party websites. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to monitor the URLs you add. You agree not to use the Service to:
- Monitor pages you are not authorized to access
- Circumvent access controls or authentication on third-party sites
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
8. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free

10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
